Will Matt Ryan’s ‘Constantine’ Be Headed To ‘Arrow’?

Jul 16, 2015

After an astonishingly good inaugural season on NBC the DC Comics show Constantine was axed before ever getting a second. The show creators tried desperately to get picked up by another network like SyFy. There was even talks to bring the magician to The CW and integrate him into the already growing DCTV universe alongside Arrow, The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Unfortunately, the show never got a second season but some new light has been given to their Hellblazer fans.

While speaking with IGN Arrow producer Wendy Mercile reveals that thewy may try to give the character a guest appearance on Arrow played by the phenomenal Matt Ryan:

“Yeah, we really want to do it, It’s something we’ve been talking to DC about and it’s just a question of some political things, but also the actor’s schedule. We’re trying to work it out, but we don’t know 100 percent if it’s going to happen.”

Arrow star Stephen Amell went onto say “Fingers crossed, [We’re] really optimistic and we would love to have him.”

As Stephen Amell stated in the past now that the Lazarus Pit has debuted in the Arrow-verse bringing in magic based heroes like Constantine is entirely possible given his connection with the pit.
