Sep 14, 2017

It looks like HBO’s fantastic Westworld has added Japanese star Hiroyuki Sanada as listed by IMDB (via Heroic Hollywood) as playing a character named Musashi.

The Japanese actor consistently works in both Japan and Hollywood with credits that include The Wolverine, Sunshine, The Last Samurai, and 47 Ronin.

It’s not confirmed but there is some hope his character could be connected to Samurai World which was revealed at the end of season two.

The rest of the new additions for season two include Fares Fares (Safe House, Zero Dark Thirty, Rogue One), Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom), Katja Herbes (The Leftovers, The Americans), Betty Gabriel (Get Out), and Gustuf Skarsgard (Vikings).

The series is currently shooting but is expected to air in 2018.
