‘Wonder Woman 2’ Starts Production in June

Oct 14, 2017

Earlier this year Wonder Woman blasted onto screens everywhere finally giving DC a win after last years Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad. It also proved that a female lead superhero movie could be profitable with a female director.

Now that both Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot are locked in for the sequel (with Jenkins now being the highest paid female director of all time) we look forward to the sequel. We at Omega Underground have found from a recent production listing that Wonder Woman 2 will begin production sometime in June of 2018:

Also, from this listing, it looks that it will indeed be another period piece (which was already previosuly rumored) with Diana facing off against the Soviets during the Cold War of the 1980’s.

The sequel will be a period piece, with Princess Diana facing off against the Soviet Union during the 1980s.

Unfortunately, at this time no production locations were given but we will update once that becomes available. Expect some major casting announcements. It’s unknown if Chris Pine will return as Steve Trevor after his apparent albeit off-screen death in the original film.

Wonder Woman 2 is set to release December 13th, 2019
