‘Wonder Woman’ Synopsis Has Been Released

Jul 12, 2016

Warner Bros will be making the presence of Wonder Woman known at this year’s San Diego, Comic-Con. It’s already confirmed that star Gal Gadot who plays the Amazonian Princess will turn up at their Hall H Panel at the convention alongside co-stars Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen and director Patty Jenkins .

With the countdown now on till the start of Comic-Con, information about films studios will be presenting slowly starts to be released. Warner Bros announced their lineup, and in their press release it featured the first synopsis for Wonder Woman.

“Wonder Woman” hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

In the press release it also revealed the screenplay for the film was written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns from a story by Zack Snyder & Weinberg. This is surprising, as many believed Jason Fuchs (Pan) was the guy behind the Wonder Woman script. Anyway what I love about the announcement is Geoff Johns involvement with the story, the guy is an absolute genius at DC Comics.

Wonder Woman hits screens June 2, 2017.
