Today, The Tracking Board revealed that the Wrath of the Titans screenwriter Dan Mazeau has taken over scripting duties on Universal’s upcoming Van Helsing reboot. The writer has been working on it since September but hasn’t been officially revealed until today. Previous drafts were written by Eric Heisserer (Arrival) and Jon Spaihts (Doctor Strange).
This of course, will be yet another “classic monster” film set within this upcoming cinematic universe at Universal Studios. Mazeau was part of the writing room for this project which included Noah Hawley (Legion), Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners) and Ed Solomon (Men in Black). Spearheaded by producers Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan. The first film in the series The Mummy is set to debut later this year starring Tom Cruise.
