The film is the next installment of the Sony Pictures post-apocalyptic zombie comedy. Original stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin are returning.
Additionally, Ruben Fleischer returns to direct the sequel. He recently directed ‘Venom,’ also from Sony. Lastly, in terms of returning people, original ‘Zombieland’ scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese did the final draft of the screenplay. They recently did ‘Deadpool 2’ as well as the first ‘Deadpool.’
Moreover, the premise of the film is below:
“The sequel centers on the comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland. The zombie slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. Most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.”
Dawson joins franchise newcomers Zoey Deutch and Avan Jogia. Further, Dawson’s most notable role is Claire Temple in the Marvel Netflix series. Those shows include ‘Daredevil,’ ‘Jessica Jones,’ ‘Luke Cage,’ and ‘Iron Fist.” She will next be in the USA anthology series ‘Briarpatch.’
