Deadline reports that actress Janina Gavankar (Blindspotting) is now in talks to take the female lead role in the Warner Bros. sports drama Torrance, formerly titled The Has-Been.
Gavankar is set to play Affleck’s ex-wife in the drama.
The film starring Ben Affleck and directed by Gavin O’Connor focuses on a widower dealing with his grief and alcoholism. He is tasked to coach the basketball team at his former high school.
Star Wars fans might know Janina best from the story mode of video game Star Wars: Battlefront II as the lead character Iden Versio.
Torrance as Omega Underground has reported is set to begin filming on October 24th in Los Angeles.
