Blue Beetle will be the next DC comic’s character added to the WB slate as The Wrap reports Charm City Kings director Angel Manuel Soto will helm the upcoming superhero film.
Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer has pinned the script for the studio and now they’ve found their director in Soto.
Blue Beetle will focus on Jamie Reyes, a young Mexican-America teenager who discovers a powerful alien weapon to become the armored superhero Blue Beetle.

Currently the film is eyeing a fall production start adding to the slew of DC films scheduled to start filming this year.
