A Glimpse at All Disney Studios Has in Store For Theaters and Disney+

So many shows coming to Disney+ and even some to any theater still open near you. Here is a rundown of the Investor’s Day, Disney Studios show announcements.

Encanto

Raya and the Last Dragon

This retelling of a classic will star Kelly Marie Tran as Raya and Awkwafina, the Last Dragon that must save them all. Coming to theaters and Disney+ March 5, 2021.

Animated Series Coming to Disney+

Disney Studios also announced four new animated series. Baymax, Zootopia+, and Tiana are coming to Disney+ in 2022 while Moana, the Series will make it’s appearance 2023.

Iwájú

Disney will be teaming up with Kugali to create this sci-fi, pan-African series set to hit Disney+ in 2022.

Hocus Pocus 2

The Sanderson Sisters return to wreak havoc in a sequel to the hit Halloween classic Hocus Pocus.

Three Men and a Baby plus Cheaper by the Dozen Reboots

These two classics are getting rebooted by Disney. Zac Efron will lead Three Men and a Baby while Kenya Barris and Gabrielle Union take the reigns of Cheaper by the Dozen

Sister Act

Whoopie Goldberg returns to the role that made her a household name as Sister Mary Clarence a gospel revival of Sister Act.

Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers

A hybrid live-action and animated adventure this new romp will feature the talents of John Mulaney, Andy Samberg with Akiva Schaffer directing.

Pinocchio

A live action retelling of one of Disney’s most beloved classics. Robert Zemeckis helms Pinocchio starting Tom Hanks

Disenchanted

Amy Adams returns as Giselle in this sequel to the popular twist on the fairytale trope Enchanted.

Peter Pan & Wendy

Peter Pan gets a new live action retelling as Jude Law takes the role of Captain Hook with Yara Shahidi as the delightfully twinkling Tinker Bell.
