Warner Bros. finally made the title reveal for the upcoming third ‘Annabelle’ film! Check out the teaser for ‘Annabelle Comes Home’ below!
Gary Dauberman, who wrote the first two installments, is not only writing, but also making his directorial debut on this film. The story is from Dauberman and James Wan (‘The Conjuring,’ ‘Aquaman’). He also wrote the first and second chapters of Stephen King’s ‘It,’ with the second film releasing September 6th. Next up is the upcoming DC Universe series ‘Swamp Thing,’ where he serves as co-writer of the pilot and co-showrunner. There is no premiere date for it as of now, but it could start this June.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will reprise their roles from the mainline ‘The Conjuring’ movies.
The premise is below:
“Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safety” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target – the Warren’s ten-year-old daughter Judy (Mckenna Grace), and her babysitters (Madison Iseman and Katie Sarife).”
Further, the film recently got an earlier release of June 28th, up from the original July 3rd date. It will no longer compete with Sony and Marvel Studios’ ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home,’ which releases July 5th.
It was up against with Paramount’s ‘Limited Partners,’ Universal’s ‘Yesterday,’ Fox’s ‘Ford v. Ferrari,’ and Entertainment Studios’ ’47 Meters Down: Uncaged.’ But, since then, all but one of those films have taken a push back to different, later, dates.
Danny Boyle’s ‘Yesterday’ is now the only remaining competition for ‘Annabelle Comes Home.’
