Omega Underground recently revealed that Steven Spielberg would be moving forward with other projects while Indiana Jones 5 undergoes extensive rewrites from Jonathan Kasdan. As we reported he’s expected to tackle some episodes of his Cortes miniseries which is at Amazon, filming this fall.
Now, there is word from DiscussingFilm that his remake of the iconic 1961 musical West Side Story will be getting bumped up as he is eyeing a July start next year in New York City.

This isn’t terribly surprising as they started their casting search last year.
A release date has yet to be announced by 20th Century Fox.
