‘Bad Boys For Lif3’ Adds Nicky Jam for Villain Role

Jan 18, 2019

Reggaeton sensation Nicky Jam is set to join the cast of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s upcoming ‘Bad Boys for Lif3.’

Jam will play one of the villains in the Sony film. He joins series newcomers Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Jacob Scipio, DJ Khaled, and Paola Nuñez. Joe Pantoliano will return as Captain Howard.

While he still had to audition for the role, Jam already had a solid relationship with Smith. Jam and Smith teamed up for the FIFA World Cup 2018 hit song ‘Live It Up.’ Also, Jam executive produced and starred in the Netflix series ‘El Ganador.’

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are directing the sequel, instead of Michael Bay. The script was originally by Peter Craig (‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay,’ ‘Transformers’). Joe Carnahan also did a rewrite, and Chris Bremmer is the current writer.

The story revolves around a modern, highly specialized police unit that collides with the old school Bad Boys (Smith and Lawrence) when a new threat emerges in Miami. Production is currently underway. The film will release on January 17, 2020.
