Ben Affleck Reportedly Has Completed His ‘Batman’ Script

Mar 31, 2016

Last summer it was reported that director and actor Ben Affleck had joined with DC Comics CFO Geoff Johns on writing a potential Batman solo film. It was only rumored but just a few weeks ago actor Ben Affleck revealed to DC All Access he is indeed working on “something” with the famous DC Comics writer.

Now The Hollywood Reporter spoke with WME co-CEO’s Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell on how many films Affleck is contracted to play the Caped Crusader. They happen to let slip he already completed the script for his still unannounced solo Batman film:

He’s contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape, there’s a script that he’s written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that’s out there as an option.

It’s unknown what story line Affleck will take his version of Batman on but many speculated it may follow The Red Hood story line with Robin dead by the time Batman v Superman takes place.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters now
