Bethesda VP reveals The Elder Scrolls 6 is not in development

You got any more of those mods?

With last year’s Skyrim: Special Edition, The Elder Scrolls Online’s recent Morrowind expansion, and this week’s E3 announcements of Skyrim VR and a Nintendo Switch edition, many are wondering how far away The Elder Scroll 6 is.

Unfortunately, it looks like those eagerly awaiting a new game in the main series will have a long await ahead of them.

“They have at least two major titles they are working on before we’re going to get to Elder Scrolls 6,” revealed Bethesda’s Pete Hines during a gameplay reveal of Evil Within 2.

Of course, there’s always the chance that as those “two major titles” come to the end of their development, parts of that Bethesda team will begin work on The Elder Scrolls 6. But considering how many games and projects Bethesda is working on currently, there’s no doubt it will most likely be several years before we ever hear about the game.
