‘Captain Marvel’ and ‘Gravity Falls’ Scribes Set To Pen The ‘Pokemon’ Live-Action Movie

Today, Variety announced that Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel screenwriter Nicole Perlman along with Gravity Falls writer Alex Hirsch will pen the upcoming Pokemon live-action movie. this movie as previously reported will not follow the long running anime or video games but instead follow a Japanese exclusive mini game Detective Pikachu. The game allows you to play as the human protagonist Tim along with his talking Pikachu as they solve mysterious.

Legendary Pictures fast tracked a live-action Pokemon movie after the brand was put in the global spotlight from the augmented reality app Pokemon Go. After the app’s release Pokemon’s stock went up almost 25%.

Detective Pikachu has not set release date
