I reported in December that Adventure Time Executive Producer Fred Siebert’s Frederator Studios was developing a new animated series based on the classic video game Castlevania.
It’s been confirmed that the new series has been picked up by Netflix and they’ve secured a writer whose credits any series would be envious of.
Warren Ellis, legendary writer of series like The Authority and Transmopolitan is attached to write the series. While there is no official synopsis at the time of this story, it’s safe to say that the original source material is rich enough in content that a framework for the series can be drawn from it.
Castlevania is the story of Simon Belmont, the latest in a long line of legendary vampire hunters and his quest to destroy the greatest of their kind: Dracula. As additional details emerge, we will keep you informed.
