CCO Geoff Johns and VP Jon Berg to Co-Head ‘DC Films’ Moving Forward

May 18, 2016

Most of this was already assumed but it’s nice to get an official announcement. Today, Warner Brothers announced that DC Entertinement CCO Geoff Johns along with VP Jon Berg will co-head the DC Films division of the company. A job similar to Kevin Feige’s role for Marvel Studios at Disney. This comes off of critical and commercial backlash of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The film was expected to surpass $1 Billion Dollars easy but barley made it past $800 Million dropping off 52% at the box office after the first week of release. The two will also be co-produce all future DC films coming out including the already in-production Justice League by returning director Zack Snyder. This also comes off the announcement that Ben Affleck will be producing all future DC films including his very own Batman solo film. He will also be directing the upcoming film as well as starring.
