Despite having most of the new Men In Black film expected to be taking place in London and outside of the United States, we reported a while back that some scenes would be shot in New York City. The location of the Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones’ characters, Emma Thompson’s MIB3 character has already been confirmed for the film.
We can now confirm that the production will shoot some scenes in New York City, possibly to tie the spin-off to the original three movies. It remains to be seen if Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones will appear in those scenes or the film at all.
The cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Liam Neeson, Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani, and Rafe Spall.
A former ace MIB agent (Hemsworth) and a new rookie looking to prove herself (Thompson) are thrust into a global murder mystery.
Sony has set the film’s release date for June 14th, 2019.
