Christopher Nolan’s Untitled Event Film Reportedly Adds Robert Pattinson for Lead Role

Mar 20, 2019

Christopher Nolan’s untitled ‘Event Film’ may have Robert Pattinson as the next cast member to sign on, according to Collider. There no character details, or plot details. Although, it will be a massive, innovative, action blockbuster, which will again be shown in Imax.

Recently, Pattinson was in James Gray’s ‘The Lost City of Z’ and the Safdie Bros.’ ‘Good Time.’ This year, he has Claire Denis’ ‘High Life,’ releasing April 5th, as well as Robert Eggers’ ‘The Lighthouse’ and David Michôd’s ‘The King,’ born undated as of now. He is currently on-set for the Antonio Campos and Netflix film ‘The Devil All the Time.’

Pattinson and John David Washington (‘Ballers,’ ‘BlacKkKlansman’) will play the two leads. There will also be an age-appropriate female lead, as well as an older male co-star.

As for fake news, the film will be not be a romantic thriller in the vein of Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘North By Northwest’ and Nolan’s ‘Inception.’

However, it is still unclear whether or not there is truth to the previous crew announcements of cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema (‘Interstellar,’ ‘Dunkirk’) and production designer Nathan Crowley (‘Dunkirk,’ ‘First Man’).

Further, filming could begin this June.

Warner Bros. will release the film on July 17, 2020.
