We’ve know for a while J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot are set to produce films and TV shows for HBO Max based off the DC Comics Justice League Dark properties. The Vulcan Report initially brought to light that Constantine would be the first series from Abrams n Co and now thanks to Illuminerdi we have our first details on what this series might look like.

The site is reporting that J.J. and Bad Robot are producing a series based of Constantine as their first foray into the JLD universe. Guy Bolton appears to have been tapped to write the series while casting has also begun. From the details they gather it looks the show will feature a new take on Constantine as the production is looking to cast a BI person of color in their late 20s for the lead role.

We’ve also gotten some small details on what the series will be more focused on the horror side of the Constantine mythos as opposed to the religious background.
