DC’s ‘Metropolis’ Digital Series Shooting June-December In NYC

Feb 14, 2018

Last month, it was revealed that WB Digital Networks would be developing a new DC Comics series for their DC streaming service. The show titled Metropolis would focus on Lois Lane and Lex Luthor, already having a 13-episode commitment.

Set in the so-called City of Tomorrow before the arrival of Superman, Metropolis follows Lois Lane and Lex Luthor as they investigate the world of fringe science and expose the city’s dark and bizarre secrets.

Omega Underground seemingly picked up on this early on via Lois Lane audition tapes.

Well, we’ve now learned that Metropolis is looking to film in New York City filming from June to December, which is a little shocking since most of the DC shows are traditionally filmed in Canada. The series will be written by Gotham’s John Stephens and directed by Danny Cannon.

Metropolis is set to be released sometime in 2019 on the DC Digital Service.
