‘Deadpool 3’ Officially in Development at Marvel Studios, Ryan Reynolds Confirms

Dec 27, 2019

‘Deadpool 3’ is now officially confirmed to be in the works at Marvel Studios. Reynolds was asked about the third outing during an interview on ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’.

Below is what Reynolds had to say about the film:

“Yeah we’re working on it right now with the whole team. We’re over at Marvel (Studios) now, which is like the big leagues all of a sudden. It’s kinda crazy. So yeah, we’re working on it.”

This news shouldn’t be too shocking, seeing as how Reynolds posted an image of him being at Marvel Studios back in October. Fans were already theorizing about Reynolds being there for a possible meeting about ‘Deadpool 3.’

It is also worth noting that Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that the ‘Deadpool’ movies will stay R-rated. On a call with investors, Iger stated that Disney will continue to make R-rated ‘Deadpool’ movies and other adult-oriented Marvel adventures after it absorbs much of Fox.

Iger also hinted that these R-rated films may not be released under the traditional Marvel or Disney banner:

“We will continue in that business. There’s certainly popularity with those types of films. The company will make it an effort to ensure it is carefully branding [R-rated films]…so we’re not in any way confusing the consumer.”
