As the Joker War is about to begin, Batman has some unfinished business with Two-Face.

After learning that Joker has been manipulating him from the beginning, Two-Face is given a choice of whether he sides with the Clown Prince of Crime or with the Dark Knight. To make things more difficult, an army of Talons is getting ready to wipe all of them out.

Harvey finally makes his decision and both he and Batman fight to take down the Talons while Joker watches everything unfold. As both men fight to survive, Joker unleashes another part of his plan which has targeted Harvey’s followers.

Peter J Tomasi does a great job of bringing this story to a somewhat satisfying conclusion. The story is entertaining and a well done prelude to Joker War. While the fight is entertaining to see, the final moments of the issue throw the momentum of the story off and felt out of place. There was a darkness building throughout this series and the ending felt tame in comparison to what came before and what is looming on the horizon.

Brad Walker’s art is fantastic across the board. From the characters to the action, everything in the issue looks fantastic.

7.3/10
