Directing Duo John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein Set to Helm DC’s ‘Flashpoint’

Jan 16, 2018

The Flash standalone DC film has been in a perpetual limbo with directors almost as much as Gambit over at Fox. The film was originally gonna be directed by Seth Grahame-Smith and then Rick Famuyiwa before both directors stepped away from the film.

At one point The Lego Movie directors Chris Miller & Phil Lord was being looked at to direct the film after writing a treatment for the film but turned it down to direct Han Solo. After that, the film was stalled and required a page-one rewrite by Joby Harold after star Ezra Miller revealed over the summer that the solo film will now adapt Flashpoint.

Now today Variety is reporting that Vacation and Game Night directors John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein has been tapped to helm the project. The two also had writing credits for Spider-Man: Homecoming over at Sony and Marvel.  DC at one point asked Ben Affleck to helm Flashpoint but he turned it down unsurprisingly.
