Disney’s ‘Snow White’ Live-Action Reimagining Eyes ‘500 Days of Summer’ Director Marc Webb

May 31, 2019

Another Disney live-action reimagining is coming together, with ‘Snow White.’ The studio is in talks with director Marc Webb, the top choice to helm the project.

Webb made his feature film debut with the romance dramedy ‘500 Days of Summer.’ The aptly named director then went onto to helm both ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ movies, starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. Afterwards, he went onto ‘Gifted,’ with Chris Evans and Mckenna Grace. Next, he has the American remake of ‘Your Name,’ from Toho and Bad Robot.

Moreover, if the negotiations from three years ago panned out, the screenplay will be from Erin Cressida Wilson (‘Vinyl,’ ‘The Girl on the Train’).

Further, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (‘La La Land,’ ‘Aladdin’) will write new songs for the movie.

There is currently no release date for the film. However, it may end up in the 2021 slate.
