While many believed that the positive reviews and looming success of Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman film might be the catalyst for righting the ship of the DC Extended Universe, tonight there is news that continues to showcase the behind the scenes problems that are still plaguing the DCEU and Warner Brothers.

With the studio still looking for a director for The Flash, a new Producer/Director being named for The Batman and Aquaman currently filming, there is news that Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow/ The Bourne Identity) has dropped out of the Justice League Dark live action movie. Liman was previously attached to the Channing Tatum Gambit movie for Fox before leaving to take the Warner Brothers film. He is also slated to direct Daisy Ridley (Star Trek: The Last Jedi) in the film Chaos Walking, which was greenlit earlier this month.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio is on the search for a new director for the project and are looking at Mama Director Andy Muschietti to helm the big screen adventure. Muschietti’s next film is the big screen adaptation of Stephen King’s It.
