Today, our friends over at That Hashtag Show has revealed the list of frontrunners Marvel Studios is looking at to star opposite Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow. The role is set to be like a “kick-ass Female bond” type. That feels similar and can physically keep on par with Johansson. Currently, Marvel is looking at Emma Watson is leading the discussions between director Cate Shortland, Brad Winderbaum and Kevin Feige. However, other names on the list include Alice Englert (Netflix’s Ratched), Dar Zuzovsky (Neighborhood) and Florence Pugh (Little Women).  Production on the film is expected to begin this June as previously reported…

While the role originally called for an actress in the 30-39 range, this list certainly indicates a willingness on the studio’s part to expand their search to find the right woman for the job and it seems that they now have a handful of talented actresses from which to chose.

Black Widow has no set release date but expected to hit May 2020
