Exclusive: The GWW has learned ‘The Office’ alum and ‘Shrill’ guest star Ed Helms and Patti Harrison are teaming for a new romantic drama.
The film will follow a wealthy app designer (Helms) who hires an aimless young woman (Harrison) to be a gestational surrogate.
Helms is best known for his role in NBC’s ‘The Office’. He most recently starred in the comedies ‘Tag’ and ‘Father Figures’.
Harrison was a recurring guest star on Hulu’s ‘Shrill’ and co-starred in Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively’s thriller ‘A Simple Favor’. She rose to fame as a comedian and currently co-hosts Comedy Central’s ‘Unsend’.
Nikole Beckwith is writing and directing. Daniela Taplin Lundberg is producing for Stay Gold Features alongside Anthony Brandinisio. Filming will commence this fall.
