EXCLUSIVE: ‘Get The Gringo’s Adrian Grunberg Attached To Direct ‘Rambo 5’

Aug 18, 2018

Sly Stallone won’t be directing Rambo 5 after all.

Omega Underground has learned that Get The Gringo director Adrian Grunberg has taken over directing duties from Stallone and is attached to make the fifth film in the series. He’s also worked on Netflix’s Narcos as a second unit director and as a first assistant director on movies like Traffic, Man on Fire, Edge of Darkness, and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

We previously revealed the film will focus on John Rambo as he attempts to rescue a group of girls, who have been kidnapped by a sex-trafficking ring that leads him to Mexico with the help of a journalist.

Filming is said to begin in September with locations to include The Spanish Canary Islands, Spain, and Bulgaria.

Casting is well underway and we expect some announcements very soon.

A release date has yet to be set.
