EXCLUSIVE: ‘Rambo 5’ Character/Plot Details and Audition Tapes As Casting Begins
Omega Underground has learned that Rambo 5 aka Rambo: Last Blood has officially started casting roles and we have a couple of audition tapes for the film along with some minor details on the characters and the film’s plot.
Rambo teams up with a journalist to track down and rescue a group of local girls that have been kidnapped by a Mexican sex trafficking ring, after trying to settle down to a quiet peaceful life stateside at the family ranch in Arizona after spending decades abroad.
This unnamed journalist role doesn’t seem to be in the bunch of tapes, but does sound like the secondary lead of the film and will be spending most of his time alongside Rambo.
The first character in the tapes include Robert Siedel, an American that plays a role in the sex trafficking operation and is kidnapped by John Rambo to retrieve information on the missing girls. The girls are being shipped out of the country via submarine.
Actors Michael Derek and Cole Gleason are seen auditioning for the role of Robert below.
Two other male characters are Hugo, a perverted thug that Rambo grills for information in Mexico and Victor a more cold/professional sex trafficker as auditioned by Jan Cornet, who is from Madrid, Spain.
Beware the lines are sexually graphic.
Luisa Rubino is auditioning for the Latina role of Gabrielle and the actress is from Mexico City, Mexico.
As we previously reported filming is said to begin on September 1st in Bulgaria and Spanish Canary Islands. It remains to be seen if they’ll actually shoot in Arizona and Mexico, as the film’s setting would suggest.
A release date has yet to be announced.
