FlexiSpot’s C7 Morpher is the most dynamically ergonomic chair I’ve ever tested. What makes it so impressive is the high degree of adjustability across the major areas of what makes or breaks a chair’s comfort. On top of this, FlexiSpot provides a 30-day no risk return policy and a 10-year warranty. If you haven’t purchased a really good office chair before, the price may surprise you: $899.00 (on sale for $629.99 at time of writing). This is, however, a very good price. Premium office chairs from brands like Hermin-Miller and Eames run well over $1,000. I have not reviewed those brands, but I have sat in them before. I can’t speak for long-term use of them, compared to the C7 Morpher. But I have reviewed a lot of chairs, and I’ve never been happier to sit down and get after it at work.

FlexiSpot is having their biggest sale of the year – up to 80% off on many selected items. Here’s the link: https://www.flexispot.com/black-friday. They’re also running some fun giveaways from November 29 to December 1!

Support for your Entire Spine

What makes this chair so easy to recommend to anyone is that it is highly adjustable. So instead of forcing your body to conform to the chair, the chair offers multiple body types and user preferences to find comfort while seated. There are four critical adjustment features of the C7 Morpher, and to understand it all, and why it matters, I asked Gemini AI to provide an overview. Since it helped me find my perfect comfort with the chair, I’ve provided it below for you:

Adjustment FeatureHow to AdjustWhy It Supports Your Back
AirLumbar™ SupportUse the controls to inflate or deflate the integrated cushion in the lower backrest. This lets you dial in the exact pressure your back needs, directly cradling your lower back and instantly easing sacral pressure.
Backrest HeightAdjust the height of the entire backrest to ensure the lumbar curve hits your spine in the perfect spot.Targeted support is crucial. Positioning the main support mechanism exactly on the curve of your lower back promotes better posture and is key to releasing spinal pressure.
Flexlean™ Forward TiltEngage the mechanism that allows the backrest to tilt forward up to 10 degrees past the vertical lock. This is essential for upper back alignment. It keeps your shoulders relaxed and gently supported when you lean forward to type or focus, preventing upper back strain.
Flexlide™ Backrest(Automatic) As you shift, the backrest glides and moves with your body. This ensures seamless, dynamic spinal support through every stretch and shift. Regardless of your movement, your spine remains continuously cradled, eliminating unsupported gaps.

About the AirLumbar – Pump it Up!

Remember Reebok Pumps?! That’s similar to what you get with the AirLumbar Support. You literally inflate the cushion by pumping it with the included button. So cool! And so very good for your back, once you find the cushion size you like.

About the Arm Support

My last FlexiSpot chair is also very good. It was the first to feature the 360 degree rotating arm pads and 270 degree swivel. But the problem was how easy it was to swivel the armrest. The big upgrade with the C7 Morpher’s arm support is it takes considerably more force to swivel. Good to see!

Unboxing and Assembly

The package weights 70 lbs, and while I was able to carry it into my office by myself, it is righty recommended you get at least one other person to help you carry it. I unsealed it with my Kershaw Leek and was greeted by an important notice about the chair’s recommended use, how to adjust the height and depth of the seat, and a well-labeled box with the 5-star base and wheels. That’s where assembly begins.

The 5–star base is hefty, featuring real metal with black plastic accents. The wheels have a rubber texture, and are hard-wood friendly. The biggest challenge with assembly is attaching the backrest to the seat. I rested the seat upside down against a bench and then aligned the metal bases of each part so I could secure the screws with my fingers, before using the included Allen wrench to tighten them into place. From there. It’s quite a simple process of attaching the labeled left and right arms to the seat, and then putting that new assembly into the 5-star base. Lastly, attach the neck rest.

The most attractive part of the C7 Morpher is the premium looking backrest. This can adjust 15 degrees, or lock into place. It’s called the Flexlide Backrest.

Who is this For?

Considering the C7 Morpher is well priced, backed by an excellent warranty and return policy, and it can be adjusted in four key ways to drive comfort for people of many sizes, shapes and preferences, I can recommend this to just about anyone. It’s available right now for just $630.
