When the first ‘Batman: Arkham Knight‘ trailer was released it also let fans know that they now have the chance to play as the Joker’s psychotic widow/girlfriend Harley Quinn in her very own DLC that will release alongside the game. Now many people wondered if the DLC would only consist of some unique challenge or predator maps, but Amazon more or less gave away that the DLC would have SOME form of a story behind it.
“With this exclusive Story Pack experience events in the lead-up to Arkham Knight as you infiltrate Blüdhaven to rescue your partner in crime: Poison Ivy. Delve deep into Harley’s demented nature and utilize her devastating baseball bat to smash, crash and bash your way to a friend very much in need.”
So the synopsis of the DLC gives away some rather interesting pieces of information. For one, it takes place before the events of the main game’s story. Secondly, you’ll be in Blüdhaven, home to Batman’s former sidekick Dick Grayson who now goes by the name “Nightwing”. And thirdly, Harley is supposedly there to rescue a partner of hers. Who that partner is, and if they’ll factor into the main story of Arkham Knight remains unknown at the moment (hopefully we’ll find out soon enough), but everything involved in the DLC is really interesting. It seems Rocksteady is giving it some mph and not making it a throw away companion like some game publishers do now ‘a’ days.
The downside to all of this? We have to wait till June to get our grubby little hands on it…
