‘xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage’ writer F. Scott Fraizer has been hired to write Universal’s ‘Gears of War’ adaptation based on the best-selling video game. Game co-creator Rod Ferguson is producing alongside Dylan Clark and Scott Stuber.
The ‘Gears of War’ video game franchise started back in 2006, and has since expanded to five games. Microsoft Studios even has its own division for it, called “The Coalition.’ The games take place on the planet Sera and follows a P.O.W. as he leads a resistance against creatures from beneath Earth’s surface known as the ‘Locust Horde.’
No release date has been set.
