Greg Berlanti Sets Rock Hudson Biopic At Universal

Greg Berlanti has set his next project post-‘Love Simon.’

Berlanti will be directing and producing an adaptation of All That Heaven Allows: A Biography of Rock Hudson Universal Studios, with Sarah Schechter and Sherry Marsh also producing.

Rock Hudson was a leading man during Hollywood’s Golden Age of the 50’s. He starred in more than fifty movies over the course of 40 years. Hudson was gay but kept his personal life discreet for fear of being scrutinized, and was diagnosed with AIDS in 1984 and died at the age of 59 in October of 1985.

Berlanti and Universal are actively search for writers, with EVP Kristen Lowe overseeing things on the studio’s side.
