Guy Ritchie’s ‘Cash Truck’ Adds Scott Eastwood to Cast

Nov 4, 2019

Guy Ritchie’s next film ‘Cash Truck,’ Miramax’s remake of the 2004 French film ‘Le Convoyeur,’ now has Scott Eastwood onboard to star opposite Jason Statham (‘Fate of the Furious,’ ‘Hobbs & Shaw’) and Holt McCallany (‘Sully,’ ‘Mindhunter’).

Eastwood was recently in F. Gary Gray’s ‘The Fate of the Furious’ and Steven S. DeKnight’s ‘Pacific Rim: Uprising.’ He also appeared in two David Ayer movies: ‘Fury’ and ‘Suicide Squad.’ Next, he will appear in Nick Cassavetes’ ‘The Manuscript,’ releasing sometime next year.

The premise of the action thriller is below:

“H (Statham), a cold and mysterious character, works at a cash truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week. Weaving through a suspenseful and carefully constructed narrative, the film shifts across timelines and between various characters’ perspectives.”

Meanwhile, Ritchie’s live-action remake ‘Aladdin’ made over a billion dollars this year, with a sequel in consideration. He is popular for directing Sony’s ‘Snatch,’ and both of Warner Bros.’ ‘Sherlock Holmes’ films. While he will not return for the third Sherlock movie, his film ‘The Gentlemen’ releases January 24, 2020.

Moreover, Ritchie will be reteaming with his ‘Aladdin’ cinematographer Alan Stewart, and working with production designer Martyn John (‘The White Queen,’ ‘The Last Kingdom’).

Further, filming will begin this month in London, England. Afterwards, shooting will take place in Los Angeles.

There is currently no release date as of now.
