May 4, 2017

Terminator 2: Judgment Day exploded onto the screen in the summer of 1991 and was groundbreaking in both action and special effects. This week, it’s been announced that the film will return to theaters this year with something special.

The original film, written, produced and directed by James Cameron, brought in over $500 million dollars on a $100 million dollar budget when it was initially released. One of the first films to utilize cutting edge CGI at the time, the film went on to massive box office success and popularity. Always one to push the boundaries, Cameron has decided to re-release the film in theaters in 3D.

James Cameron has taken the Arnold Schwarzenegger blockbuster and converted it to 4K and 3D to showcase the special effects and Terminator 2: Judgment Day will return to theaters August 25, 2017.
