Screen Gems will develop a film based on a franchise that is the best-selling music video game of all time. The game has 120 million players worldwide in all age ranges. Multiple studios competed for the rights deal.
First released in 2009, the ‘Just Dance’ video game is celebrating its 10-year anniversary and continues to keep players moving. Also, hit artists involved include Sony-based talent Shakira, Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys, Camila Cabello, The Chainsmokers, Jennifer Lopez, P!nk, and Calvin Harris.
Furthermore, Ubisoft Film and Television and Olive Bridge Entertainment will develop and produce the project.
