Orion’s long-gestating third ‘Bill & Ted’ film now has Jillian Bell onboard the stacked ensemble. She will play Dr. Taylor Wood, the families’ couples therapist.
Bell was recently in the Sundance film ‘Brittany Runs a Marathon,’ which Amazon is releasing August 23rd. Other credits include Paul Feig’s ‘Bridesmaids,’ Phil Lord & Chris Miller’s ’22 Jump Street,’ and Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘Inherent Vice.’ Next, she will appear in Charlie Day’s ‘El Tonto,’ FOX’s ‘Bless the Harts,’ and Netflix’s ‘Green Eggs and Ham.’

Moreover, the synopsis of the time-travel comedy is as follows:
“With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns the duo that only their music can save life as we know it. Out of luck and inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on another time-travel adventure — with the help of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures and some sympathetic music legends — to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe as we know it.”
Meanwhile, Dean Parisot (‘Galaxy Quest, RED 2’) serves as director. Also, the screenplay is from returning scribes Chris Matheson (‘A Goofy Movie’) and Ed Solomon (‘Men in Black’). In fact, the veteran writing duo are responsible for both ‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ and ‘Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.’
The crew members, so far, comprise of cinematographer Shelly Johnson (‘Captain America: The First Avenger,’ ‘The Expendables 2’) and production designer Melanie Jones (‘Whiplash,’ ‘The The Curse of La Llorona’).
Further, filming is currently underway and will wrap August 17th, with locations including New Orleans and Los Angeles.
‘Bill & Ted Face the Music’ will release August 21, 2020.
