Kevin Feige Can Start Using Fox/Marvel Characters in Early 2019

Dec 27, 2018

While speaking with Variety’s Playback Podcast Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige revealed that he has yet been given the green light to start developing stories based on the Fox characters Marvel will acquire after the Fox acquisition. However, he did reveal that things are looking good for the two studios and that he will be able to use the characters within the first half of 2019:

“We’ve been told it’s looking very, very good and could happen in the first six months of next year. The notion of the characters coming back is great. It’s nice when a company that created all these characters can have access to all those characters. It’s unusual not to. But in terms of actually thinking about it and actually planning things, we haven’t started that yet.”

According to recent reports the deal is expected to be cleared internationally in early 2019. As it has already been cleared in the United States. However, don’t expect any cameos from the X-Men or Fantastic Four until 2020 at the earliest. Something many bloggers expected.
