This is the loot crate that I have been waiting for since they announced the theme last month. The “Galaxy” Loot Crate is here and features Halo, Star Wars and Galaxy Quest. If you can’t tell, I’m extremely excited about this. What a better time to feature Star Wars products than now? The Force Awakens just hit theaters last Thursday and has already made over $500 million world wide.

- Exclusive Funko Pop Star Wars Han Solo Vinyl Bobble-Head

This month, Loot Crate brought together all my favorites and threw them together in a box. The first item I want to point out are the BB-8 socks. Since its release, I have already seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens twice and plan on seeing it one more time before Christmas. BB-8 is one of the great and hilarious additions to the series and now I have a pair of socks with him/her on them. (Has it been decided what gender BB-8 is?) Doesn’t matter, still awesome. I give this two lighters up. See what I did there?
The crate also came with a Funko Pop figure of everyone’s favorite smuggler, Han Solo, from his appearance in The Force Awakens. I love this Pop! Previously, the only Han Solo Pop’s available were from his appearance in the original trilogy. This Pop has already found a spot right next to my other Han Solo. Now I’m still waiting on a Force Awakens Leia and Luke Pop now.
Included was a Halo 5 Ammo Tin Box that features the United Nations Space Command Logo. It looked kind of like a lunch box, really. That’s probably what i’ll end up using it for. Inside the box is a Halo 5: Guardians Req Pack. I did redeem the Req Pack immediately, and luckily I got some new armor out of it. For those unaware, a Req Pack can be purchased in-game and provide goodies like unlockable weapons, armor, etc for your character. I could see PS4 or PC owners feeling little bummed over being left out, as Halo is a Xbox exclusive but since it’s the time for giving, why not give that code away to someone you know that has an Xbox?
I really like the colors on the Ugly sweater t-shirt. It’s also really comfortable.
I loved Galaxy Quest as a kid so the inclusion of the Galaxy Quest Patch was the extra icing on the cake. The Patch is of the emblem worn on the uniforms of the crew. For the younger folks, Galaxy Quest was a sci-fi film released in 1999 and featured Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Tony Shalhoub and Sam Rockwell and has become a cult classic throughout the years. The patch is great as a collectible item or if you are planning as cosplaying the series.
To me, this great is a win. I consider myself a Sci-Fi guy, so this box immediately calls to me. Every item from every franchise featured, I identified with. Also, just as important, I have found use for each of the items as well.
