Marvels Eternal is a new Marvel film hitting theaters on November 5th of 2021. Directed by Chloé Zhao I’m sure this will end up a great film.
What are the Eternals?
The Celestials created humans and the Eternals enemy, the Deviants. The Eternals are powerful beings, created by the Celestials who put them on earth to protect humans. For example, Deviants aren’t as strong as the Eternals, but what they lack in power they make up for in numbers. In addition, the Eternals on earth were created by the Celestials, but they aren’t the only ones they created. On the planet Kree, there are Kree Eternals, Deviants, and normal Kree, all created by the Celestials. This new Marvels Eternal trailer really expands on what we know about the Eternals.

The new Marvels Eternal trailer starts with Ikaris and Ajak talking. They are discussing the power that was released when the Avengers used the Infinity Stones to bring everyone back from the dead. As a result, this makes them wonder if this release of power might have been what revived the Deviants. Next up we see someone asking Sersi “why she didn’t help with Thanos or any other wars on earth. Consequently, ” Sersi replies with “We couldn’t”. To clarify, the Eternals can only fight the Deviants; human conflicts are not their fight.
What are the Celestials?
Like I said earlier, the Celestials are godlike figures with the power to destroy universes with ease. So far in the MCU, we have seen 3 Celestials, Eson The Searcher, Ego The Planet, and Knowhere the severed head of a dead Celestial. This Marvels Eternal trailer brings that number to 5 as we get to see Arishem The Judge, and Jemiah The Analyzer. Certainly, both are important to the plot and I look forward to finding out how when the movie comes out.
