‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ Pushed Back To 2018

May 28, 2016

Production on the final installment of the Maze Runner franchise The Death Cure halted indefinitely last month, after the films lead actor Dylan O’Brien was severely injured during filming.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure was scheduled to be released in February 2017, but due to the severity of O’Brien’s injuries and recovery period, Twentieth Century Fox announced on Friday that the film will now hit screens nearly a year after originally intended on January 12, 2018. No date was revealed as to when production on the film would begin again.

The Death Cure will see O’Brien’s character Thomas and his friends, known as the Gladers, take on the WCKD as they try to find a cure for ‘The Flare’ a deadly man-made disease, that eventually turns its victims into zombies.
