Jan 8, 2018

A new year has once again graced us. I hope all had a great and safe holiday. In the upcoming year of 2018 the Metal/Hard Rock community will be seeing a lot of great releases coming forth to our ears. Here are a few that us metal heads are excited for: Judas Priest, Ghost, Rammstein, Black Label Society, Halestorm, Tool, and Corrosion of Conformity. So get those speakers ready because the first anticipated album is out this week.

Corrosion of Conformity “No Cross No Crown” marks the return of lead singer Pepper Keenan fronting the band after twelve years. I have listened to this album and it is great. I know its early but it could already be an album that makes it to my top ten of 2018. If you are a fan of Corrosion of Conformity’s earlier albums like “Deliverance” from 1994 or even “Wiseblood” from 1996 then this is a must have for your collection.

My sleeper pick and another album I have been listening to for a few weeks is White Wizzard’s “Infernal Overdrive”. It has some touches of old school thrash metal which I love. With the return of “The Screaming Demon” Wyatt Anderson on vocals and guitarist James LaRue the band is complete once again and sounding like this could be the year they become more well known in the metal genre.

Here are some of the weeks releases. Let me know what you are picking up?

Black Veil Brides – Vale (Lava/Republic)

Corrosion of Conformity – No Cross No Crown (Nuclear Blast)

Hamferd – Tamsins likam (Metal Blade)

Joe Satriani – What Happens Next (Legacy)

Ty Tabor – Alien Beans (Rat Pak)

White Wizzard – Infernal Overdrive (M-Theory)
