Milla Jovovich’s ‘Monster Hunter’ Shoots October-December In Cape Town, South Africa

Aug 17, 2018

It was originally reported that Paul W.S. Anderson‘s Monster Hunter movie based on the Capcom video game starring Milla Jovovich could begin filming next month but it looks like it’ll be pushed a little further than that.

Omega Underground has learned filming will begin on October 1st in Cape Town, South Africa and will wrap by December 12th. We assume filming will take place at Cape Town Film Studios.

Sony’s Bloodshot is currently filming in the same area.

There is also a chance some of the other locations could include places like Toronto, which have been used on the Resident Evil movies.

Monster Hunter’s crew includes cinematographer Glen MacPherson, production designer Edward Thomas, visual effects supervisor Dennis Berardi, and composer Paul Haslinger.

As we’ve already pointed out casting is well underway on the video game flick.

A release date has yet to be announced for Monster Hunter.
