This week I just want to highlight, in my opinion, one of the best albums of the year easily. That’s saying something since we have a had a ton of great gems, especially in the Hip-Hop community, drop this year. Last night Travis Scott dropped the highly anticipated ASTROWORLD. With a name like that you’d better have a fire album. A fire album indeed. This album, from top to bottom, was clean, crisp, hype, heat. The production was fantastic and the features were on point. Being from Texas, I really dig the Houston sound and flow of some of the tracks. Travis Scott is a spirited native of HTX as you can often catch him at the Astros, Texans, and Rockets games. Please have a listen and see what I am, and the rest of the internet is hype about.
Other notables today include an album that I ,myself, personally have been hyped about but is flying under the radar courtesy of Mr. Scott is Mac Miller – Swimming. I haven’t given it 3 full listens like I have ASTROWORLD but I can tell it, too, is some real Hip-Hop. More notables to listen to are H.E.R ft. Bryson Tiller, Nicky Jam, Cuco, Bazzi, and Miguel all dropped some new jams. Stay tuned for more as I go in depth on XXXTentacion and Shiloh.
