Nintendo Shows Off New Legend of Zelda 2DS and More

Nov 1, 2017

Black Friday is almost here and gamers around the world are eagerly awaiting the deals that will headline the holiday season. Well fret not Nintendo fans, the pixel pioneers have got your back with a flurry of new deals and bundles guaranteed to keep you busy all winter long.

First up is the latest entry in the 2DS family, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time edition. At $79.99 USD, this special edition handheld is bright green with yellow buttons, resembling the colors of Link’s iconic tunic. Also included is a pre-installed download of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, the lauded remake of the quintessential Nintendo 64 game.

Also heading our way is the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Explorer’s Edition. This exclusive bundle includes the acclaimed game for the Nintendo Switch as well as a 100-page explorer’s guide and a two-sided map of the expansive lands found in the game. Better yet… this will be released at a price point of $59.99 USD, a far cry from other special edition games that are double the price of the traditional game. This will be a perfect entry point for people that missed out on Breath of the Wild upon its release and will also be a great gateway to Zelda games for younger players that are thwarted by some of the more challenging puzzles.

The Legend of Zelda won’t be getting all of the attention this holiday season, as Nintendo has many special edition consoles and goodies on the market right now that will carry over and become more widely available as the season continues. Just check out some of the exclusive items below.

  • A white-and-orange New Nintendo 2DS XL system.
