Nita Hawes’ Nightmare Blog #3

The first two issues of Nita Hawes’ Nightmare Blog were great, and this one is no exception. The story continues to be a page-turner, but there’s an element this issue has the others don’t.

Image Comics
Written by: Rodney Barnes
Art by: Well-Bee
Colors by: Luis NCT with Mar Silvestre Galotto
Letters by: Marshall Dillon

While this title was connected to Rodney Barnes and Jason Sean Alexander’s Killadelphia in the first few pages of Nita Hawes’ Nightmare Blog #1, readers had yet to see a character from that title cross over into these pages. But that all changes with this issue. This character has a chance to have a huge impact, but it’s very unclear how long this individual will stick around for. If nothing else, one would think this character will have a huge impact on Nita as a hunter/detective of demons and such.

But as impressive as the story has been, this title’s art has been its calling card. Gruesome, viscous imagery. And Well-Bee is somehow precise with this ludicrous imagery.

If you like Killadelphia, this is a must-read. And if you’re a horror fan but haven’t given Killadelphia a shot yet, you can still get in on Nita Hawes’ Nightmare Blog. There are some moments that might not carry the same weight as it does for Killadelphia readers, but that’ll be the only issue you run into.
