Jun 23, 2018

It had been previously reported that Paramount Pictures would seek to film their Dora The Explorer live-action film in Queensland, Australia for the tax breaks the country offers to lure Hollywood studios.

Well, Omega Underground has word that filming on Dora will begin August 6th and will wrap sometime in November.

The Aussie shoot is expected to take place at Village Roadshow Studios in Gold Coast, where Warner Bros. recently shot James Wan’s Aquaman.

Isabela Moner is set to play Dora, a teenaged adventurer adjusting to regular high school life.

Mexican superstar Eugenio Derbez has been in talks for a role as well.

James Bobin will direct from a script written by Nick Stoller.

Paramount has set Dora’s release for August 2nd, 2019.
