A few weeks ago we mentioned Aquaman 2 was well on its way to casting some new characters for the billion dollar franchise and it now appears we may have our first slot filled with Game of Thrones alum Pilou Asbaek.
Deadline is reporting Asbaek has be cast as a co-star in the upcoming WB project but offers no details on his role or what part he plays in the films still unknown plot.
Going by the information we posted its very possible Asbaek has been cast as…
Kore – 40s-50s, Male, open to any ethnicity, domineering & cunning. British Accent.
Asbaek certainly fits this description and as we speculated he could be potraying the villain known as Fisher King, leader of the terrorist group N.E.M.O. who in the comics works closely with Black Manta to try and take down our aquatic hero. This is just speculation on our part but we are certainly excited about the prospect. It’s also not to far off the character he portrayed on Game of Thrones and he would be a natural fit for a villainous captain of the seas.
Aquaman is currently set to release on December 16th, 2022 and will once again be helmed by James Wan with Amber Heard and Jason Momoa returning.
