New Pokemon games on the way!

Feb 25, 2016

2016 brings us the 20th anniversary of Pokemon! And it seems Nintendo and the Pokemon Company have something special for us all this year with rumours of two new Pokemon games to be announced at the special Pokemon Nintendo Direct tomorrow at 7 a.m. PT.

The rumoured games were discovered through their European trademark requests and have the games named Pokemon Moon and Pokemon Sun with the familiar blue and red theme returning once more. In addition to the names, we have two logos to speculate over each with a unique symbol based on the name of the game.

Will these belong to the evil organisation that plagues every region of the Pokemon World? Or will they represent a sun and moon based legendary. Who knows, I’m pretty excited to find out tomorrow!

**Update: During today’s Pokemon Direct, Tsunekazu Ishihara officially announced the upcoming Pokemon Moon and Pokemon Sun games along with a projected Holiday 2016 release date. Not much else was shared about the game, however there was some quick glimpses of concept art which is displayed below:

So far, it appears one of the screen shots shows off what one of the new unannounced winged Pokemon will look like. Another screenshot shows, what looks like Blastoise sitting in the back of a vehicle.
